Namma Kana Kural is a comedy-drama series, created by R.K.Selvamani and directed by N.Ramesh Babu. The show airs on Asianet Plus during the interval of Swarabhishekam, the Tamil new year special episode of Udaya TV's John Jani Janardhanan serial telecasted every year, in the state of Karnataka in South India. The show has completed 2200 episodes so far and airs Mondays to Fridays at 20:30 IST (UTC+05:30). The serial has gained popularity for the unique concept of the show, rural to urban migration, life of a layman laywoman. The show also deals with serious social issues like corruption in government offices, exploitation of masses by rich people to name a few. It is based on the protagonist protagonist named Banumathi who is a village woman and has migrated to Bangalore along with her family. Rural to Urban migration is one of the central themes in this serial that was first conceived by R.K.Selvamani thirty years ago but was never developed by him due to various reasons. Selvamani developed the script again keeping current trends and setting it in current context with N. Ramesh Babu as director and NandithaBuvaneshwari (born 26 March 1984) is an Indian playback singer and actress working in the South Indian film industry. After making her debut in 2009, she has established herself as a leading playback singer in South Indian cinema. She has sung more than 1000 songs in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages for various films. Saraswathy Naidu (born 28 August 1981) is an Indian playback singer who works mainly in Kannada, Telugu and Tamil films. She sings predominantly in Kannada language, while she also sang few songs in Malayalam and Hindi languages. She made her singing debut in the 2003 Telugu film "Raju", and later was noticed by composer Yuvan Shankar Raja, who used her voice in his compositions for several films. Her notable songs include "Paruva Kaalalodu" from the Telugu film "Aithe", and the title track from 2010 film "Bodyguard". Namma Kana Kanum Kalangal School is a comedy . This serial has been given smart sequences and witty one-liners which makes it an instant hit among the audience.
